As this week draws to a close, we are left with some good news and some bad. The bad news is that our daily dose of the VIVO Indian Premier League is over. The good news is, there are more Kuch Bhi Awards to be handed out. So, let’s just jump right into it:

  • Understanding the Concept Award – Royal Challengers Bangalore
CREDITS: Royal Challengers/TWITTER

After RCB skipper Virat Kohli was bestowed with the coveted Stuart Broad Humility Award, his team’s twitter handle proceeded to reply to KXIP’s announcement with a caption reading “Kuch Bhi”. While their captions choices in the past couple of weeks have been questionable and have received some unflattering feedback, the one in response to the announcement of their skipper’s victory was perfect.

For understanding the concept of these awards, we give RCB five more points.

  • Ibu Hatela Award – Hardik Pandya

During the game between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians, all-rounder Hardik Pandya, standing close to the boundary, offered a delicacy that he was enjoying to the opposition fielder in a great act of kindness. Pandya’s actions were reminiscent of a certain movie character by the name of Ibu Hatela from a famous Bollywood flick, who would recite a catchy poem before offering a fruit to the listener.

For this selfless act, we reward Hardik Pandya and Mumbai Indians a couple of points.

  • Barry Allen Award – Mahendra Singh Dhoni

In the game between Chennai Super Kings and the Delhi Capitals at Chepauk, the home team skipper and wicket-keeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni effected two stumpings that left the batsmen bamboozled and in disbelief. The only logical explanation to Dhoni’s incredible speed behind the stumps is that the cricketing great is actually the superhero named The Flash, known for being as fast as the speed of light.

For managing to keep his identity hidden for over 15 years, we give MSD and CSK 1.5 points.

  • Cosplay of the Year Award – Chris Gayle
CREDITS: Sportzpics & Cinemablend

Pulling off cosplays can be incredibly hard, but to some, it just comes naturally. Take our Sher Chris Gayle, for example. Sporting a majestic beard and incredible dreadlocks against the Chennai Super Kings, the big Jamaican pulled off the perfect impersonation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Heimdall from the Thor Trilogy.

For pulling off a cosplay as effortlessly as he hits sixes, we give the Universe Boss three points.
