This leg spinner is touted as the successor to Anil Kumble. Chawla is a legspinner who has amazing control and variations, but can do with a bigger stock legbreak to make the other aspects of his bowling more effective. He did very well in Australia in the limited opportunity that he got. He managed to keep even the mighty Aussies quiet.
