Sreesanth Speaks
- What are your thoughts on the team’s preparations?
- I think we’re doing really well… we’ve had some practice matches in South Africa that we’ve won and it’s great. I can’t wait for the real matches to start.
- What are your thoughts on the team?
- I think we are the best… Punjabi aan, Punjabi shaan! KXIP rules!
- Is the bowling going to be short without you?
- They will surely miss me on the field! But I’ll be around to cheer them on and help with strategy and planning and in any other way possible. I will be cheering the team on with the fans… I’m not going to be sitting around. I’ll be egging the team on to beat play hard and win.
- So the title chances looking good?
- God willing and with all the fans’ support, there’s no reason we can’t lift the trophy this year. Last year we thought we’d let someone else take the prize… first year and all… but this year, sorry! It’s ours! We’ll rule like only Kings can.
- So how will you be motivating the team?
- I’ll be one of the fans. I’m looking forward to mixing with the fans and I believe there are a lot of them coming… we’ll rock South Africa!
- What will you miss about the IPL not being in India?
- A lot of stuff… most of all the crowds, the flags and the atmosphere. But I’m sure that in South Africa thanks to all the Indians there we will have a great time. I still remember the India-Australia game in Durban… there were so many Indian supporters… I don’t remember seeing so many Indian flags outside India ever! So we are in the right place and SA is going to rock… India is coming to South Africa! The change of venue is actually going to be good… it’s always getting better. The best is yet to come.
- What’s your advice to the young players in the team?
- It’s simple: keep going and there’s a lot to be done yet.
- What’s your message for the fans?
- Come see us play and support us with all your heart.
- And your message to your opponents?
- Beware!
