David Owen Nosworthy born on 25th December 1967 studied at the Grey High School in Port Elizabeth. There he exhibited a lot of interest for cricket and rugby. Later in 1998 he joined the London Business Management School specialising in Sports Management and Marketing.

In 1987 his first stint as a cricket coach began at a private college just outside Port Elizabeth, here he was employed to handle all coaching structures and senior teams in both Junior and Senior schools. Later in 1990 he moved on to become the Director of Cricket at the biggest club cricket outfit in South Africa at that time. His responsibilities included all coaching aspects, playing aspects and other off-field activities.

He has been played an imperative role as manager and coach for teams like Northern Titans, South African U19 Team, Canterbury (New Zealand) etc. Now as he comes into KINGS XI PUNJAB as Assistant Coach he brings with himself tons of experience. His knowledge and skills are going to help the team in a number of ways.
