Manali Winter Carnival

The State level five-day Manali Winter Carnival commenced on Sunday 22nd February and it was held at the ancient Hidimba Temple at Dhungri.
Co-sponsored by IPL team Kings XI Punjab, co-promoter of the team Bollywood actress Preity Zinta said that they were happy to be a part of the winter carnival and promote cultural activities and outdoor sports. Hamirpur MP Anurag Thakur inaugurated this grand event.
Punjab University Marathon

Kings XI Punjab also sponsored a marathon at the Punjab University on March 5th 2009 where 350 team uniforms were distributed to the participants.
Around 700-800 participants turned up and the message of the marathon was to spread awareness about AIDS.
Jhankaar 2009

Conceptualized in 1975, Jhankaar is the largest and most popular cultural and social event conducted in Punjab. This year, over a period of three days 100,000 visitors attended the music festival which ended with Mika's performance at a Jazzy B nite. Literary and oratory, theatre and Sistrionics, dance and fine arts, wonderful music the students created made it an event to remember. All Colleges & Students of chandigarh participated with their families and congregation epitomised the importance of cultural identity, patriotic expression, social Integration and individual Leadership values to each one. We at Kings XI Punjab are happy to have been able to assist in making this happen.
