Ishan Malhotra led KXIP Green into the final as they thrashed KXIP Blue by 108 runs in the last league match at the Sector-16 cricket stadium here today.

First match – KXIP Red lost 2 quick wickets in the first over, with the scoreboard reading 0 for 2 after the first over. Akshay was instrumental in sending both batsmen back. Skipper Chetan Sharma (50) and Preet Kamal (39) repaired the innings with a partnership of 64 runs for the third wicket, but it was not enough.

After the departure of Preet Kamal and Chetan, no one showed resistance and wickets fell at regular intervals. They fell short by 20 runs. Akshay was declared man of the match.

In the second match, spectators were witness to a swashbuckling knock by Ishan. He reached to his 50 in just 22 balls, hundred in 34 balls and 150 in 57 balls. His knock came off 68 balls.

He achieved the milestone of scoring the highest runs in T20. In this essay, KXIP Green piled up 257 runs in the allotted 20 overs.
