High Performance coach Alan Campbell and Assistant Coach Trevor Penny leave no stone unturned in their analysis, even given that every professional IPL team follows this structure. After the group discussion of the first practice match's the previous day, the ebullient duo put the second practice match into perspective, spending four hours at a stretch conducting one-on-ones with the players, with just a half hour lunch break for themselves. Sweating it out their way, no doubt!
They were satisfied that the players had met certain thresholds. Targets of improvements that were discussed earlier were achieved, but of course, nobody wanted to rest on that. Each player confided on how he planned to raise his game.
Batters had a healthy discussion on running between the wickets, while bowlers discussed several topics, including the use or yorkers to blast the toes of batsmen! Just a few days to go now before they move to the Amphitheatre.
