Anti Doping
The players were in a video analysis session where Patrick Farhart, the physiotherapist introduced them to the anti-doping rules. He explained how testing could be random and that if there was any use of a banned substance from the players because of therapy they were undertaking, they should fill in the required form to notify the authorities. Some of these substances turn up in common cold and cough medicines.

Video Analysis
Alan Campbell, High Performance Coach, and Trevor Penny, Assistant Coach, jointly led separate discussions with batsmen and bowlers. They watched video footage of a practice match between Kings XI teams held the previous day, aided by the detail of cutting-edge software. The merits of a bouncer were discussed with the bowlers. The batsmen were then asked how the felt about their performance at the Sector 16 Stadium in Chandigarh. Ravi Bopara brought out few valid points on the pitch.

Bowling Variations
Irfan Pathan contributed substantially to the conversation noting that certain bowlers can bowl more slower balls and be effective because of the type of action they have. The software team brought up the point about how dot balls affect the batting side and that they must minimize a succession of these.

Alan was impressed that he gets to see a lot of variation from Indians. He reckoned that Aussie bowlers, because of the helpful tracks they bowl on, tend to aim for the right line and length whereas Indians experiment more. He emphasized the case of Shane Warne who bowls more variations than anyone, which makes him successful in Twenty20. All in all, a good days for the boys from Punjab!
